Youth Teams
Team Geode
-
Ages 8-12
-
Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30-6pm
-
$130/month. Includes a youth membership. Does not include gear.
-
The goal of Team Geode is to expose young children (ages 8-12) to rock climbing in a safety-conscious and fun manner. The team meets two times a week and focuses on developing passion for climbing. More importantly, the team will learn to support one another and gain an appreciation for sportsmanship and trust. This is the foundational team, and we hope to instill values of hard work, character, and kindness through climbing.
Time Commitment: Our goal is for athletes to enjoy the team for a whole semester or per school year. For your convenience, we bill monthly. Should you need to cancel your child’s team membership, simply fill out the Membership Change Request form. Note, all cancellations must be submitted by the 20th of the month in order to take place the following month. All cancellations MUST be processed through the website.
Team Cost: $130 per month – includes membership
Note: This cost includes the program itself and membership to the gym so that climbers can come practice on their off days if desired (not required). ALL climbing gear (shoes, chalk bags, etc) is the responsibility of the participant. One-day rentals are available and must be paid for on the day of use (they can be charged to the account on file). Prices range from $3-7 depending on the gear needed, per day. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing your own gear.
As a team member, you receive an automatic 10% discount on any gear purchased at Latitude. See any staff member to get your child properly fitted. We do NOT recommend purchasing gear online as it often fits improperly and can’t be returned/exchanged.
Harnesses: Please ensure that your child’s harness meets UIAA standards. Many harnesses purchased on Amazon do NOT meet safety standards and will not be accepted. Please remember your child’s gear is lifesaving equipment and while we recognize cost is a concern, we want to ensure that all team kids have proper equipment. All of the harnesses that Latitude sells meet UIAA standards and are acceptable for use climbing inside and outside.

While Latitude hosts climbers of all ages anytime, join us for a special weekly parent meet up and check out Boulder Babies! This is a drop in time for parents to bring their children to play and socialize at our incredible rock climbing gyms. Parents do not need to climb with their child but should be present and actively engaged.
Registration is encouraged but not required. Please fill out our waiver ahead of time for you as the parent, and then also for your child(ren) as this will speed up your check in process!
Q: Can I bring other (older) children?A: You can bring older children as well but be advised parents need to actively supervise their children while climbing so please only bring as many as you can actively watch. Older children will also be $10 during this timeframe. They will likely need to pay for rental gear unless they have their own gear…babies and toddlers can wear their own shoes since they typically are too small to wear climbing shoes)
Q: Do parents need to climb with their children?
A: No. But we do ask that you are actively engaged with your child while they are climbing and moving around the pads
Q: How much is it normally if I don’t come at this time?
A: See our Prices page
