Yoga at Latitude

An Overview of our Yoga Program

Like climbing, yoga challenges our body, minds, and souls. The two pair so well together because both are teachers that continue to push the threshold of what we think is possible. At Latitude, yoga plays a pivotal role in helping prepare us for some of the toughest moments in climbing by helping to teach us to focus on our breath, maintain a calm and clear mind, as well as get our bodies physically ready to approach our projects.

Yoga transcends not only into climbing but into our daily lives and is essential to creating balance and mobility. This is the goal of the Latitude Yoga Program, to create a well rounded balance in all practices on and off the mat. Practicing yoga at Latitude will not only prepare you for day to day challenges but get you physically ready to approach any climb or workout in your future. We view yoga as an opportunity to actively stretch and breathe life into our bodies so that we can continue establishing an awareness of the mind/body connection.

The opportunity to master the connection between breath and movement presents itself on and off the climbing wall, and therefore practicing the complexity of movements found in climbing on our mats only aids in the preparation of focus and composure we need to excel in all aspects of the physical practice.

You can find a variety of classes available to stretch and recover, workout and sweat, or release and relax all based on what your body is asking for that day.
