Guided Outdoor Trips

Latitude offers guided outdoor trips for climbers that want to broaden their experience to outdoor climbing and mountaineering. All guided trips are done on the weekends and include camping at the local destination. All participants must be lead climbing certified in order to participate.

Guided outdoor trips are offered to the following locations:

  • Mount Rogers, Virginia

  • Old Rag Mountain, Virginia

  • New River Gorge, West Virginia

  • Seneca Rocks, West Virginia

  • Moore’s Wall, North Carolina

  • Pilot Mountain, North Carolina

  • Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina

Cost

Latitude offers guided trips based on the following pricing (maximum of two participants per guide):

  • $400 per day per person

  • Price includes:

    • Use of camping gear including tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pad

    • Use of all climbing/mountaineering gear (ropes, crampons, trad equipment) needed

    • Meals and snacks for Saturday and Sunday

    • Transportation to the climbing destination and back to the designated meetup location

Equipment

Participants are required to use a UIAA/CE certified sit type harness with a belay loop that is less than 5 years old and does not show excessive wear. Participants should have their own harness, climbing shoes, and chalk bag. All other equipment will be provided.
